The candles caught fire! yeah i know its kinda a bad photo but this was probably the main excitement of the night.... =) and later pool water was thrown on it to put it out!

Well today i went to Auntie Jean’s house to celebrate a mass Valentines Day.. which i thought would be excrutiatingly painful but it actually turned out to be pretty fun! And Rachel and i sang Complicated on Karaoke. which.. by the way.. should NEVER be sung on karaoke. its amazingly tiring. you guys should try it one day.

And we spent the night talking about tons of stuff… like Gossip girl!! haha… yes now everyone loves gossip girl.. =) And we talked bout our own personal gossip.. which is actually pretty interesting…

I still have ppl to meet before i fly back to Sydney! pls pls arrange a date!

i havent written in ages! and yeah my life has been way more interesting.. sometimes good sometimes bad.. but i guess you just pull through no matter what happens right? =)

so anyway, i just came back from Bangkok, Thailand which i went to go celebrate one of my mum’s friend’s birthday.. and there were altogether 30 if us so i guess you could imagine the mess! and so many of us girls went crazy shopping! by the 3rd day us girls were still going strong but the guys were so so tired of all the shopping! and just a tip for if anyone wants to go shopping in bangkok.. hit the streets! seriously.. the boutiques along the streets are the best! and i’m always up for budget shopping.. everyone’s already planning for another trip there… well just us girls anyway.. seems like we arent tired of shopping at all.. when ever do we get tired of shopping anyway?

I’m missing sydney less and less now.. i guess i’m getting used to being back here.. but i do miss some people and my apartment.. i hope its ok.. what if lill and i go back and find police tape all around the unit?!!! hahaha.. 19 more days and counting… in a way i guess i’m kinda scared that i’ll get back to sydney and find that things are different from before…

and by the way.. i’m starting to think of what i should paint on my next pair of shoes.. i guess i just need some inspiration. lately i havent really had much of that.. any ideas anyone?

oh and Happy early valentines day everyone! and wow what a surprise.. it’s gonna be a lonely vday just like every other.. it hardly means anything to me anymore.. just another day where cinemas are full of couples and roses are sold on the pavement, restaurants are suddenly twice as expensive and PDA is considered appropriate in Singapore.. hopefully the rest of the world has a better perspective than me.. ok i’m being WAY too sceptical.. =) yes yes peace and love.. haha

Nocturnal much?

exams are coming. and i am very very sorry to those ppl who refuse to acknowledge the fact that exams are actually drawing near but i have to mention it. i mean studying is all i do nowadays.. And lill and i have officially turned nocturnal. not sleep at 4pm nocturnal you know, its more like sleep at 10 in the morning and wake up at 7 in the evening nocturnal. turns out that the only time that i am actually able to do a little more studying than usual is past 12 midnight.

this blog is amazingly boring i realised. maybe because nothing is going on in my life that is actually worth taking note of.. actually i think there is, but i have no intentions of publishing it on the whole world wide net. haha. i just kinda need a break from the whole study session which is going to end soon!!!! very very very soon and then we get to go shopping and hit the beach! already making tons of plans as to what to do and where to go after exams. only 5 more days!!!!

oh i’m coming back to singapore in mid november and then going to barcelonai december! and i actually managed to learn like about 5 words in spanish.. haha. i’m super excited! and lill’s still undecided about coming down to singapore but i strongly encourage her to come!! hint hint lill.. and i anyone has any requests for me to bring back anything from sydney please please tell me soon! already i have to bring back 20 packs of red rock deli chips and sportgirl stuff and apple walnut loaves from bakers delight. so i guess a few more things wont hurt right??

ok i have to get back to study.. =)

Breakfast for dinner at the coffee club

Last week was a whirlwind. and that i dare say that that is not an understatement. And it had me thinking that maybe we all are in denial some way or another. I obviously am.. people who know me well will know that i think of my life as, possibly, a classic 50s movie. just black and white, no colour. and that romance and drama exist around every corner. i simply refuse to believe that the perfect scene, person or movie does not exist. But really.. is being in denial that bad? Is its absence the key to getting forward in life or is it just an innocent fantasy?

*according to lillian’s new macbook’s dictionary (which is really really pretty- the macbook that is) , denial: failure to acknowledge an unacceptable truth or emotion or to admit it into consciousness.

immediately when the definition popped up, lillian and i could only think of one name. B. and without revealing any personal information about this B person, he/she fits this word perfectly. possibly even more perfectly than me. Funny how this denial seemed to have caused me a bit of trouble last week. Right B???? He/she too thinks that everyone lives a cinderella story. B, go watch enchanted. Sometimes the road to a glass slipper isnt really that straight. but who am i to judge right? i’m living breakfast at tiffanys.

Feeding to my personal fantasy, i watched sabrina and the great gatsby last week. My obsesseiveness seems to have extended to my bedroom with posters of roman holiday, breakfast at tiffanys, casablanca, dirty dancing and gone with the wind draped all over what used to be a very plain white wall. I even got min swept into it.. with her favourite all time movie being my fair lady. no surprise there of course.

Amongst all the seemingly ordinary happenings in our lives, lillian min and i managed to squeeze in a wonderful big breakfast. at our favourite time of the day (5pm). with extra hashbrowns of course.. Lillian just injected a thought into my brain.. why is it that breakfast has to be in the morning? whats wrong with eating hashbrowns scrambled eggs and toast at night? people in malaysia and singapore can eat nasi lemak for breakfast lunch or dinner..

And just a shout out to everyone who helped me through last week and got me through to this one (which hopefully wont be as bad). Lill, raj, min, joan, deb, sam.. Thanks.

I thought that it was about time that i started to write another post. =) ok before i forget… happy birthday!!! to Lillian!! Alain, Switch, Jia Yi… still thinking of ways to plan Lill’s huge 18th!! any suggestions?

did i mention that when i went back to singapore i went a little shoe crazy?? i bought… about 6 pairs of shoes. i think… or was it more??? and i’m still craving for more! why is it that a girl can never have enough shoes?? Our (referring to mine and lillian’s) shoe cupboard is filled to the brim. and yet we never fail to stop at a beautiful shoe shop at…. everywhere! oh and we still have more shoes in our wardrobe. and in singapore and malaysia.. and ppl in singapore! go check out this shoe shop called mika in suntec city playground. seriously the shoes are to die for. deb and jess found it in some magazine and we all have a pair now.. or 2.. =)

Nothing really special has been happening in sydney but we seem to have loads to do like..shopping! of course and going on a sex in the city marathon. we kinda got hooked onto the series after watching the movie. And uni has started… new tutorials new lectures but uni life still seems the same. although my timetable now is to die for… 3 days a week, 4 day weekend.. who wouldnt want that??

i’ll update soon. ’soon’ is relative isnt it?

i’m going back to singapore soon!! beginning of july.. for anyone interested in meeting up, please call me!! i’m super excited to meet jo and kim and all those ppl who are coming back from US/Canada/other places and go shopping! i’m really sorry but this website is kinda non-existent. i think i should start posting up stuff so that at least ppl can see something. although most of the ppl who read this are ppl who google me on the internet. i’m not much of an internet person anyway…ok a friend tells me i should write what i feel. so……. i’m feeling pretty stressed out about the exams and i am currently operating as a nocturnal animal. sleeping at 5 in the morning and waking up at 1pm on weekends and 7am on exam days. and then coming back home to sleep. then studying again. so anyone in singapore who thinks my life here in sydney is interesting you really should think again. lill, who is by the way my lovely roommate, is bored and deleting everything else i write about her.. mean… and we have temporarily moved everything to the living/ dining room. and when min comes with her shopping we would have 3 ppl fully living in my apartment living room. seriously, we dont even need bedrooms.. although i love my walk in wardrobe!! (which is very very full of stuff) ok i’ve run out of stuff to say already. fast huh? so yeah till the next time i feel like writing something for the whole world to read, night!! (actually morning, its 2am)
